I keep most of my data files in a compressed `.gz` format. Did you know that you can use the `zcat` command to view the content of a zipped file? Like this: `zcat filename.csv.gz | head -n 10`

@IgniteMindz Basically the query returns a DataFrame, so anything you can do to a DataFrame will work. Chaining transformations is a nice way to build pipelines with pandas

Anybody know if I can df query in pandas and have the output only show me a few rows instead of everything?

Yesterday I met the fourth employee at SpaceX. Hans Koenigsmann. I asked him how they did the code that lands rockets back on earth so they can be reused. “Oh, one person wrote that.” What? Yeah, it’s better for a single human, he told me, to write it because one person could keep the whole system in their head. Get more people involved and it gets confusing, he told me. He admitted other people were involved, but most of it was done by one person. Reminds me of @stevewoz who was the last human to have an entire computer in his head. So, why can’t Lockheed or Boeing figure this out? The committee can’t decide who is smart enough to do the code. :-)

@f_dion Did you ever find a good solution to this? No-Code solution to ag-grid populated with data from python?

Past few weeks i’ve been searching for a nocode web based database table grid editor. Basically, a spreadsheet like interface, but with validation, dropdowns, checkboxes for boolean, date picker etc. Edits reflect back to db. So far nothing that works. So going with lowcode next.

@Distantanimals @GoodeKnyghte In my case, the opposite. Just good memories with tape. Probably because I was fortunate as a kid in the 80s to find some really good units in yard sales: Superscope pmd200, Sansui sc2000, Lenco C2003 (!) etc. I recorded so many mixtapes, and experiments. I'll check your label.

Kevin Edwards ( Retro Videogame development )
ZX Spectrum Bubble Bobble source code safely archived from Mike Follin's original development discs. I'm not sure if this is the final version of the game, but it does seem fairly complete. The game was developed on a Tatung Einstein and deployed to as Spectrum via a serial link.
