✨I’m officially rebranding to FABLEBEAST Fursuits!✨ • I was originally known as FireDog Fursuits but I’ve been wanting to do this for months and I’ve finally decided to go for it! I came up with the original name of FireDog Fursuits a few years ago when I wasn’t in a good point in my life (had a lot of major life stuff happening and was not great mentally) which has over time given me a bad connection to that business name and I’ve sort of secretly hated it for like 2 years straight now, I even got embarrassed to say it when people asked what my business was called lol 😅 I also didn’t really have a fursona back then either so the logo was just a generic wolf/dog character with firedog underneath it but now I have my fursona Mantra and a whole personal suit of her and everything so I wanted her to be the main mascot for my fursuit making business and have her front and centre on everything!! 🥳 This feels like a massive weight off my chest and I’m so exited to finally have whole new fresh look with my new branding, website, and social media and I can’t wait to make loads of stickers, business cards, maybe even Merch?! 👀 💖 • Let me know what you guys think! I feel the same way!! 😭 I was constantly chasing to keep up with new trending methods and even trying to learn 3D printing bases and casting etc thinking that was the “high quality” standard but decided I didn’t actually enjoy that method of making and have completely reverted back to hand carving foam bases as it’s just what I enjoy most and feel is the best quality from me personally! I hate how much discourse there is lately about different methods and what’s considered “the best” when there is no standard in fursuit making, it’s all art <3

Honestly same. Like I honestly constantly feel stressed out if I’m not moving at the same speed as others to learn the same techniques others use for suits that are considered “new high quality” techniques. I’ve stopped trying to compare myself to everyone but honestly it’s hard seeing all this new discourse everywhere on twitter rn 😅🥺❤️ But you’re amazing and your work is amazing Fawx!!

Constantly doubting myself as an artist in this community. People really find flaws everywhere and it just sucks to see people bash methods I use or prefer and call them low quality or non professional. Not everything needs to be lined, not everything needs to be removable cont

@Nihilusion Omg I saw that video and thought her attitude was disgusting first of all, and also all of the “issues” she pointed out weren’t even bad at all like?? The head was £1K and consistent with the makers style like what was she expecting? Especially after approving each WIP as well?

Bashing fursuitmakers for not lining the neck part of the head is crazy. You don’t need all that.

Okay having been using this all day I can happily say this is the best purchase I have ever made for my job. This machine is so smooth, easy to use and adjust and has gone through multiple layers of faux fur without any issues!! It’s super quiet as well, if you’re able to afford the purchase and want to make suits either full time or as an invested hobby honestly I highly recommend investing in this! Especially the walking foot model. I will say assembly was a bit of a pain, it took around 2 hours, but it’s so worth it!! I’m linking the exact version I got down below!

Tip if you're a new fursuit maker...PLEASE DO NOT USE SCREWS TO ATTATCH YOUR FEETPAW BOTTOMS. The feet pictured were made by a well known maker in 2018, and i have no idea how many suits they did this to. You can see in the video how long the screws were.

This!!! Material cost is a sliver of my suit prices. Most of what you're paying for is...me - my time, my skill, my knowledge, my art style, my customer service etc. Fursuit prices are set by maker demand and their cost of living. It's a real job and needs to be treated as such.
