New preprint from my postdoc with Bonnie Bassler! We show that phage VP882 responds to different host factors depending on the environmental context of the infected host, highlighting the need to study phage-bacteria interactions in relevant contexts to get the full picture.

Excited to share our new preprint. We found that the NSAID diclofenac together with colistin synergistically reduce type IV pili and induce oxidative stress to eliminate infection by colistin-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii. Great work by @fabybisaro and many colleagues

Last week I had the privilege to co-host a virtual conference on T6SS, which had 400 attendees and it went extremely well. Now my lab is thinking it is time for an #acinetobacter international conference via Zoom. I need a co-host. What do you guys think?
