Delighted to find several #recipes for writing a sensation novel. July 18, 1864 Daily Boston Advertiser provided three variations, including "a la Madame Henri de Bois" (Mrs. Henry Wood), an unnamed author (clearly Mary Elizabeth Braddon), and "Cilkie Wollins" (Wilkie Collins).

Spending a little time with old issues of Punch, and though I'm pretty sure Punch is making fun of these ladies, honestly, I love both the morning and evening fashions from 1866.
