🪷 myth thoughts 🪷 getting to see mc go insane with grief after spiritmaster caleb died scratched an itch for me that i didn't even know needed to be scratched. we didn't witness much of how she copes with her grief after the explosion, probably because main story mc is intentionally written to be unbiased towards a particular LI (although caleb wasn't an LI back then but you know what i mean) her reaction to losing caleb in deco + yys are much more consistent with what i've seen in caleb-specific storylines. from "i don't want to live in a world without you, let's die together" to "i'm going to become a ghost-eating monster and follow you into the nether realm", caleb's mc is a mirror to his own obsession. despite caleb choosing time and time again to sacrifice himself for her sake, she rejects this decision and takes matters into her own hands, making enormous sacrifices of her own to achieve what SHE ultimately wants: to be with caleb no matter what
