@StephenSparco @zakfilm well at least The Pitt is making sure to be true to reality! it’s not high school, it’s not remotely common to work with the same people for more than one year when you’re following medicine related careers, let alone inside an ER
English

@faelklore @zakfilm First major exit from Grey's was season 5 tho 🤷🏻♂️
English

Regarding The Pitt discourse.
-A fan favourite leaving the show early will understandably upset the fans
-No one is complaining Ayesha Harris is promoted, fans are happy for her in fact
-Variety reporting their news together instead of separate posts is intentional especially when it feels like one woc is being exchanged for another.
-Why not keep both as regulars?
-The show has a pattern of suddenly booting woc actors. People are noticing and rightly complaining about it
-Announcing the news now raises questions. Why not after the finale?
-In interviews Supriya has mentioned how she feels like they rather not want her around and that black and asian communities get pit against each other.
-One of the few vocal actors on the show speaking up for Palestine leaving does send undertones whether you believe it or not
-No show is free of criticism especially now when representation matters to people and vague statements lack clarity to justify it
-Mohan’s a great character. Why remove her already when she has so much to offer?
-Who next is the question

@effoff1988 maybe because her case’s completely different. she decided not to quit exactly because of the major punch she takes in the face? like, what is even this comparison? is Santos supposed to leave too because she is cutting herself and will accidentally hit and artery and die?
English

@faelklore Clearly not if you don’t remember LaNasa’s character explicitly stating in every S1 episode that she was quitting.
Yet was she written out ?
No.
English

… and just like that THE PITT went to shit.
Dr Mohan’s character AND Supriya Ganesh on that set, deserved so much better.
ALMOST like her three white, middle aged, straight, male bosses did not know how to do right by someone who was none of those things.
Shocker.
Not.

Supriya Ganesh will not return as Dr. Mohan in ‘THE PITT’ Season 3. (Source: variety.com/2026/tv/news/t…)
English

@effoff1988 every episode either mentions her moving because of her careless mom, or her interest in taken specialized courses, or how DIFFERENT attending doctors are appointing her to different areas, showing her that JUST MAYBE she would succeed in other areas. did we watch the same show?
English

@faelklore The show had built her exit this season not even remotely as explicitly as they did Katherine LaNasa's last season or Noah Wyle's this season.
Yet their characters were not written off.
Ask yourself why.
There is a difference between diversity and proper inclusion.
