@u22a1 @mitsuhiko impl trait in trait would simplify this. Actually never type and trait aliases should simplify actix-net significantly

@mitsuhiko And the pity is that it is impossible to return a type implementing such a trait from a function and take it as an argument . Try it with actix_web::App. At least at the moment rustc cannot do it without deeper reasoning about traits.

@fafhrd91 So if I consume them, do stuff and then put them back via set_payload ... What are the concerns I need to be aware of in regards to it being an async stream of bytes ?

Any #rustlang actix-web 1.0.* developers out there?? why can't I just get access to the request body in a middleware? This seems like such a basic thing that is made overly complex or impossible.

We put a new service written in rust into production and I think we over-provisioned the machines slightly.
