@fairestdstroyer its the same concept for any boycott, no matter what there will always be at least one consumer of a boycotted product but that does not mean just because of that that we should stop attempting to boycott entirely

@L30RA no yeah. i get it. but it does create a safe space FOR the abusers. no one there for accountability. so the kids who show anyway. are more likely to be hurt. that’s my fear w it. if it continues. and with only scum. it’s a safe place for scum to be scummy. it’s a lose lose tbh :/

@L30RA i just know this was also a debate last year w SQ and she started a damn near actual riot and pulled a p great crowd AWAY from socially worse artists all while vocally disagreeing with the structure as a whole. so i just hoped some of the contracted artists will do the same now

yeah the historic culture of this festival is SHIT. but to say “it’s always been shit so it’ll always be shit” and allow the shitty people a place to congregate unchecked is so much worse for the scene than mindfully taking up a set time or some attention from somebody awful.
