Texas lakefront community @LongCoveTx has announced plans for an invitation-only private club called The Old Mine Club, with a new 18-hole course, The Canary, designed by @beauwelling. Opening in 2027 for member play, the 7,400-yard layout occupies a century-old mining site and will be defined by bold contouring, elevation change, and 10 holes with water in play. Signature holes include the par-four 9th hole featuring dual greens, and the 11th and 18th holes, par fours that will play to island fairways (once piles of lignite coal tailings) next to Cedar Creek Lake and directly across from the club’s future 20,000-square-foot clubhouse, with 180 feet of bridges connecting them to the mainland. The Old Mine Club will also be home to multiple dining venues, a fitness and wellness center, golf practice facilities, water sports, and the Anchor House—a hub for fishing offering guided tours and private instruction. 📸: Renderings by @harriskalinka

I want to thank my family and my team for their continued support throughout every step of my professional career. When I was a child, I always dreamed about competing on the @PGATOUR, and I am just as excited today to announce that I am returning to the PGA TOUR. Being closer to home and spending more time with my family makes this opportunity especially meaningful to me. I believe in where the PGA TOUR is headed with new leadership, new investors, and an equity program that gives players a meaningful ownership stake. I also understand there are financial penalties associated with this decision, and I accept those. Finally, I want to thank the fans.
