Even after more than two years of using it, Apple Vision Pro still impresses me ✨

my proteinmaxxing + time saving stack as a parent - 1 scoop chocolate protein — 25g (muscle recovery, keeps you full) - 2 scoops marine collagen — 9g (skin, hair, nails, joints benefits - debatable) - 1 tbsp peanut butter — 4g - 1 tbsp chia seeds — 2.5g (omega-3s + fiber) - half a banana - 1 cup frozen berries (antioxidants) - skip sometimes - ice cubes to smooth it out - instant coffee whenever i feel like it ~40g protein and stupidly filling. keeps me full for hours try at your own risk

@tech_nurgaliyev another abstract advice: value your time like gold; avoid doing “noise” work during it and focus on only “signal” work stuff that will take your biz forward

@andrewqu for their day to day; yes. for broader zoomed out strategy work; no way, fable just feels different from opus.

Hot take: a lot of people wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if they were randomly routed between gpt-5.5, opus-4.8, or fable-5 for their day to day work

funny thing happened today: I had two code sessions in one worktree doing two separate tasks; however each one of the agent kept getting confused to why files were changing and kept reverting the changes. both agents fighting each other; first deleting, second just being confused and reworking everything.

Nobody wants to admit it but "vibecoding" works until your app has actual users. Then you discover what senior engineers have been getting paid for.

my 5 year old homeschooled kid asked me to sleep early and called me “nocturnal” for not doing so. i take it as a win for homeschooling.

No idea if this will get any reach, but... ...things I wish I'd known as a first-time Dad. 1. Do whatever you can to be able to afford a night nurse. It truly saved our sanity, marriage, and our daughter is an amazing sleeper now because of it. 2. You will feel a sense of anxiety you've never felt before. But everyone's right, you also feel a love you've never felt before. 3. 60% of babies get jaundice when born. It's scary AF, but harder on you than the baby. 4. If you can swing it, plan for 3 months of parental leave. When your days are free from work stress, you can be truly present, enjoy all the small moments, and be as helpful of a partner as possible. 5. I'm 9 months in and I feel like my brain is still operating and 75% of what it used to be. There's a lot of mental math going on at all times that doesn't go away. Will probably always be this way. New normals are hard. 6. Poopy diapers aren't that bad. 7. Accept help. As much of it as possible. Your partner with thank you. You'll be a happier person. I hate accepting help from other people (hello, childhood trauma), but you need it. 8. When you get back into work, it'll be insanely fragmented. Even if you have blocks of time to work, your mind will be hearing phantom cries, worrying about feeding schedules, and if you're a good partner feeling guilty for not helping out. 9. Things get stressful. Especially if the baby isn't sleeping, is in a leap, or is generally just being a baby. Don't make things into bigger deals than they are. 10. After 7 months, babies get really fun. They can sit up, crawl, start to climb, they smile/laugh often. It's less taking care of a little helpless blob and more having a super cute little toy in the house at all times. 11. Claude + GPT + your pediatrician is all the advice and answers you need. Ignore everything else. 12. We skipped over purees completely and went straight to solid foods. Our daughter wanted nothing to do with eating from a spoon or a bowl of mush. 😂 13. It can be hard to get out of the house. You're exhausted from the daily routines. But, try to push yourself. It helps your kiddo socialize and you get to touch grass and not just your couch. 14. First couple of months, someone is always holding the baby. After 6 months, baby barely wants to be held. Cherish the first few months. 15. Take a million photos. You won't regret it. 16. Everyone has advice for you, ignore 98% of it. Unless it's from a tweet from a random bald dude 🙊. 17. You'll end up buying more shit than you want or need. Don't fight it, it's fine. Purge/sell stuff often. 18. You're going to be effing EXHAUSTED on some days. But the next day, your baby has a brain upgrade and is entirely different and awesome. 19. Traveling with a baby (on a flight) is hard. Doesn't matter the age. It's a level of anxiety you've never felt before. Do it, but prepare for the hard. 20. Have a baby in Portugal 😄. It costs 500€ for a week in a private hospital and the care was amazing. 🤩 21. Try to have as much fun as possible. 22. Apologize to your partner. Give your partner lots of grace. Mom is doing amazing things. 23. Find time to take care of yourself too. It's the old "put your own oxygen mask on first" in action. Eat well, exercise, take naps to catch up on sleep. I think that's it. Hope it helps someone!
