I gave my brother shelter when he had nothing. I paid his bills, bought him food, and even repainted my guest room his favorite colors to make him feel at home. In return, he tried to steal the one thing I valued most: my wife. He stayed with us for 6 months, not a penny in rent. I made sacrifices in my own home to keep him happy, even when he complained about the "vibe" of my furniture. I noticed my wife was "cheering him up" a lot. Long talks on the balcony. Helping him with his "job search" that never actually happened.
