Were there any times when you both disagreed with something you were told to do?
There had to be a time or two that he had unpopular things he did. Even good rulers make some mistakes.

It really depends on what "it" was. For the most part he did like hearing as many sides of an issue and really think about the solution. Some things needed to be handled quickly and he knew what he wanted. There weren't many times I disagreed with them.

He probably didn't because they'd think he liked them the best. He had his sisters to help too so it would probably be impossible to know who the ideas came from.
Did he ask if people would go along with the ideas first? Or did he just say you had to implement new things?

Oh it was always difficult to tell who was the one coming up with ideas. I heard most things from my husband, unless the King was here. But he did surround himself with different sorts of people so he could hear from all of the realm. My father rarely took advice.

It's probably the best mindset to have. We still don't trust each other now because people can't really control themselves.
Like my Dad kind of can, when he knows that's the best thing to do. But he probably would of done worse without my Mom.

She typically got along with everyone. As far as other Kingdoms were concerned she thought none of that was her buisness. She was always focused on our lands.

@Argellaofstorm I read a lot of things that said that Aegon was a pretty good King. Did he make any changes that made the Storm easier to rule? Or safer? Or were a lot of things the same from your father?

@false_spring I can see why he'd say something like that. It depends on the Targaryen. Some of them are very capable at ruling, others are questionable.
It happens in all of our families.

Yes and no. It was pretty small but I did replace them with men that I trusted to behave with honor.

Any man Lord that's told me my wife talks too much or starts a sentence with "finally I can go over this with you, your wife won't listen to me" ; automatically gets to go into the vanguard. I keep notes of why I was annoyed by someone.
