I like this lineup get musa back and another big and a slasher wing type player and you have a solid tournament team for year one gainey.

Because way roster is currently he would be the best fit. Provides spacing, rebounds and fits next to Evans who excels in pick and roll. Low usage floor space is valuable as roster is constructed currently.

Honestly… I’d start Edmead / Adams / P2 / Musa / Evans. Bring Hammond / Keene / Wilkins off the bench. Let Yalaho walk and go get a true backup 5.

@PackInsider Why wouldn’t we just go after a defensive small forward not a defensive liability we already have shooting at the 1-2 and the 4 we need a 3 who is an athletic slasher

Kansas is working hard on Bashir as well, but NC State has a big pot of money left over for their 3 spot. State fans would rather it be McNeil, but if he bolts, there really isn't a better comp in the portal than Bashir.

@LupusBeowulf And the starting 5 would only have a defensive 1. Paul leaving is a great opportunity to get a wing who makes the pieces fit better (Paul is admittedly not a great fit amongst this current group), not double down on that archetype

Probably the best realistic case for State if Paul is indeed gone but man, these offensive archetypes that are being targeted make me a little nervous.
