i don't think they talk much post-canon tbh. i feel like higuruma avoids yuuji because he feels like he can't do anything for him, either as a teacher or an adult figure. and yuuji finds it difficult to talk to him bc of that

hmmm i think their relationship is actually kinda awkward, because yuuji sees similarities between higuruma and nanami and it feels like they SHOULD have a mentor-mentee relationship, but higuruma views yuuji as more of an equal - a better version of his younger self, in a way
