It’s been 60 days tonight that I’ve quit smoking weed, and 154 days since quitting nicotine. If I can do it, so can you! 🌈💖 the temptings are completely gone. It makes me feel like anything is possible if I stay disciplined and consistent!

Young shooters - your attitude will book more work than your talent ever will. I know photographers who do OK work and shoot nearly every day. I also know photographers who do AMAZING work who sit at home waiting for the phone to ring. The main difference? Service. After 30+ years behind the lens, here's what I know to be true: Photography is a SERVICE business, not a product business. Yes, learn your craft. Keep growing. Keep shooting. Being skilled matters. But it is not the thing that will make you a WORKING photographer. Your attitude toward the people you serve will. Bend over backwards for your clients. Every. Single. Time. Reschedule without attitude. Process that rush order even when it's inconvenient. Be understanding when life happens…because life ALWAYS happens. Eat the cost of the parking fee and do it with a smile. Recently I drove through early morning LA traffic, paid $20 to park, and was sitting in the lobby when my client cancelled - 15 minutes before shoot time. A lot of photographers would've been furious. Would've kept the deposit, asked for the parking back, maybe even been cold or abrasive. I went the other direction. I was kind. I was understanding. I rescheduled her for the very next morning - at her convenience - and we absolutely crushed it. Here's the thing: I don't know what that lady was going through. Her flight had come in late. She overslept. She wasn't rested enough to step in front of a camera for photos that mattered to her. That's not a character flaw - that's life. And meeting people where they are, with grace, is what separates the busy photographers from the ones waiting by the phone. Whatever you give up in those moments - the time, the money, the convenience -it comes back to you 10X. Because that client will SING your praises to every person she knows. And those people will call. 95% of shoots go off without a hitch. It's how you handle the other 5% that defines your reputation and ultimately your career. So yes - keep working on your craft. Become the photographer you dream of being. But while you're doing that, become a service-oriented photographer who bends over backwards for the people in front of their lens. Service with a smile. That's the whole game. 📸

And the companies I choose to work with now, my agency, they are all so lovely and I have been greatly protected ever since joining my new agency 2 1/2 years ago. I love mark and George.. And I’m grateful to have people who will back me up and protect me from here on out and allow me to be protected even when I’m not in America. I love traveling for work, and I can always call them when I feel mistreated and know they will not stand for any ill treatment such like what I went through years ago. I could not be the performer I am without them. I’m stronger now, I take no bullshit. And am grateful for all the opportunities that I’ve gotten and that will come to me 💖 thank you to the companies that take their time to make their models feel comfortable and happy and beautiful on set, who take them time to ask us if we’re okay. You mean to the world to our industry.

I’ve stayed quiet about this for years, but being back in Budapest has brought up painful memories I can’t ignore anymore. Four years ago, at 21, I traveled there for work. My European agent ( Sabina) placed me in an apartment owned by a producer I had never met. I was told he wouldn’t be there. On my first night, while I was asleep on the couch, I woke up between 1–3am to him ( @PornoDan) having sex with me without my consent. I had no prior interaction with him, and I did not agree to anything. I was on my period and had a tampon in before I fell asleep — when I woke up, it was gone. That’s how I knew something was very wrong. When I told my agent ( Sabina) , she dismissed me. She said he “wouldn’t do something like that,” blamed how I was dressed, and implied that if he booked me, sex was expected. At 21, new to the industry, I believed her. I now know that was manipulation. Rape is NEVER okay. I stayed and worked because I didn’t know what else to do. A week later, he returned and continued to ignore my boundaries — even when I was seriously ill and had to cancel $10,000 worth of work. He still tried to get into my bed, even after my hospital visit. That’s when it became undeniable: he would not take NO for an answer. Eventually, I left and paid for my own place. Neither he nor my agent ever contacted me again. Looking back, this was abuse. I’m sharing this now to warn others: this man is a predator. If you are young or new to the industry, please trust your instincts and protect yourself. You deserve safety and respect — always.
