This is just my speculation but my reasoning for this is because he’s a coward who’s afraid of taking accountability and chooses not to share much about himself or his past. He’d rather dissociate than tell people he bares some responsibility for creating the situation they’re in

Don’t misunderstand me, I LOVE Kinger. The issue, however, is that it’s never fully explained WHY Kinger didn’t actively try to make himself lucid sooner. He’s very clearly aware of how to regain his sanity, and both Pomni & Ragatha do as well
