If you’re going into free agency with $100M, and have your only players of note be a C, a blocking TE, a FB, and a bunch of backups you’re telling us this roster is good enough to win it all. And if it’s not, and you chose not to upgrade when you could’ve, then that’s on you.

Good chance the Hornets don't draft Shai anyways. Good chance they draft Miles Bridges at that pick without the trade. They traded back with the Clippers to get them Shai and got Miles Bridges and more picks anyways. This shouldn't have to be explained. It's how draft day trades work in the NBA rulebook.
