@DoctorAngry Too true, reviewing medication ( and disease ) seems something from the past.

@sharrond62 Put some Iron Sulphate down. Greens the lawn and kills moss. Then ideally scarify and then use a fertiliser

@farrard @WG_RumblePants Don’t tell anyone, but I’m a bit traitorous - I’m jam first 🤫
It brings shame to my family

@WG_RumblePants A lovely ground , and nice to see one I’ve actually played at!

@johnsweeneyroar It’s not the US , it’s our pubs. With pubs struggling in large part due to government policies, no one wants cask beer. That’s what they produced.

On The Bonfire of the Vanities, Tom Wolfe’s great satirical look at 1980s New York, a white Wall Street trader accidentally ends up in a hit and run involving a black teenager. The cause is taken up by a succession of activists, led by the corrupt race-baiter ‘Reverend Bacon’, all determined to make political capital of the incident.
Much of the satire is easily recognisable from real-life cases, including the way in which the biography of the black victim is turned into a hagiography, and the menacing implication that the streets might erupt in violence if the protesters don’t get what they want.

3 facts:
1. 457 UK troops were killed in Afghanistan, most in action
2. The US repeatedly did ask other NATO nations to send troops there, and 604 of them also died
3. When it was his turn, Donald Trump dodged the Vietnam draft all 5 times, with a diagnosis of 'bone spurs'

Trump on NATO: "I've always said, will they be there if we ever needed them? That's really the ultimate test. I'm not sure of that. We've never needed them. They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan and this or that. And they did. They stayed a little back, off the front lines."

@AnnieChave You could ask Australia the same question. There is too much cricket played.

What we do need a high performance review on is why we can’t keep our bowlers fit!! It sure as hell isn’t because they play too much county cricket…bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/…
