@cb_doge Half the time I call customer support I just want to vent anyway. A robot that happily listens to me rant without hanging up is exactly what I need.

NEWS: SpaceX is now using a voice-based AI assistant powered by Grok to handle Starlink customer support calls. The voice sounds fully human and can converse with users in real time. "Grok is already doing quite a good job at SpaceX and Tesla. We are seeing Grok be very helpful in things like customer service and the AI is infinitely patient, so you can yell at it, and it's still going to be very nice."

@vibecodejoe @asaio87 But let's say I want to do my taxes and there's a well established company software which will do my taxes in let's say x amount and someone who built an app by himself will do it in 20-30 percent less. It's human tendency to go to the trusted company evn if it's little expensive

I keep coming back to this idea that “no one would trust an app built by a vibecoder.” But realistically before you download an app, are you actually looking up who built it? Their background, experience, credibility? Or are you judging it by how well it works, how it feels to use, and whether it solves your problem? Feels like trust is earned at the product level first, not the résumé behind it.

If you can vibe code an app without software dev knowledge then so can other 1 billion people. Doing easy things is equal to absolutely 0 They got people tricked with this vibecoding thing.

Some people spend 20–30K on a night out partying. Some protest for a 20K salary. The world really is unfair. Even working hard doesn't guarantee that one will be successful.

@LilGarden24 @Gamingtronium I am a web dev but aren't large cpp projects hard and require more in-depth knowledge of core cs fundamentals ?

@Gamingtronium An older IDE that's optimized for .NET and C# and Cpp dev. Can be useful for large projects that are better integrated with it like Unreal development. But otherwise unnecessary. People saying it's for 'serious' dev are retards. What u do in purple can be done in blue.

@mikeydsoftware I don't know how ai is making software easy it's just giving the companies free pass to burn out their devs, clients will ask for a change that needs a change in the architecture of the project and they will be like it'll be done by EOD right 😭 you have claude.

Is the real problem with AI coding tools… that most developers don’t actually understand app/system design?

@vibecodejoe @asaio87 One more thing nobody will trust an app built by a vibecoder for something important due to obvious reasons at least not the tech savy people.

@wha1n0w @kylegawley Don't know exactly but people do like to scroll ecommerce sites and surf the web and read articles written by humans when they are researching something important. So good ui ux ain't going anywhere soon.

@kylegawley Is it partly because it's unclear what UX will exist in the medium term, a beautiful button or well structured processes might just... never need to be seen.

yep and building software of our own, this isso early and in a couple of years, software creation is going to get a lot of more easier i think and whoever is learning along the way who we call vibecoders are so early and going to benefit in the long term lets see where this goes. i feel theres nothing wrong in vibecoding software. we see debates around vibecoded projects dont have security and scalable. but i think its just a matter of time and model progress wdyt?

@shiri_shh Vibe coding is the fastest way to master coding , you see what’s working. You just need to ask AI to explain the code for you. You learn faster that way
