@e38simp Don’t do it from a horse unless you have the right tack, a good solid horse. If you’re confident you won’t miss, you can do it somewhere from the ground where they can’t bugger off enough to get the rope out of your hand 😅 catch pen is great. And use a stopper on your rope.

@e38simp Once I get those ones caught the first time they live in a breakaway halter with a catch string on it until they’re good about it. If you can, build a catch pen with panels. If you can’t, I’m not above roping one if I’m completely out of options 😅

Today’s adventures in training for the public included someone thinking La Crete and La Glace were the same place. They have two unstarted six year olds. I’m just going to start responding with ‘Google maps is free but my life insurance policy is not’

It brings me an unreasonable amount of joy telling all my friends husbands who think they’re above cooking and cleaning and pulling their weight that the broom fits in their hand too.
