i used to feel this way but tbh i think its just a very tired mindset to have-the idea that the whole time dan wasnt having any fun/wasnt ever happy just blatantly isnt true; he was battling with depression yes but that shouldnt sour every video from that time period, its not b&w

does anyone else find themselves unable to watch videos from the period of time dan was really depressed/ the few years pre coming out? the videos are still good, it just makes me upset to watch now that i’ve seen how happy and free they are post hard launch

i think we as a community need to stop trying to put black and white boundaries and create solid rules on what is and isn't archaeology and instead listen to the words that actually came out of dan and phil's mouths when they talked about it
