Hot take, if your server is so ass that it can't handle 500 pop, then you should lower the max pop instead of turning off AI.

Currently playing on a server under the “Official” category. Its a main server with over 500 pop daily. For optimization purposes they disabled the AI. For deep sea, this should NEVER be allowed. It completely changes the pacing and challenges of deep sea and disperses WAY to much insane loot literally for free, first come first serve without having to make any noise. If a server wants to disable AI for optimization then the deep sea should be disabled with it OR deep sea should never allow AI to be disabled.

@Alistair_McF Entering areas with patrol boats, like Large Oil Rig makes the gameplay very laggy in the sense of server latency, it’s only noticeable in those areas. Desync is at an all time high, and the new scientists are pretty buggy. Work on entities and its performance next wipe!!!

How are you finding the Rust naval patch so far?
We shipped several hotfixes last night and will continue today.
The biggest issue we're currently seeing is a small but, a significant number of players crashing connecting to servers. We've identified the problem and working on it!
