Majority of persons complaining about "Free Beaches" aren't Jamaican. I, for one, dont want to be on a beach that is not regulated & anybody can just stroll up. Paying is also for security. How can I enjoy myself if I am worrying if the car is going to be there when we get back?

Can someone from one of the islands (Barbados etc) explain to me what a “free beach” means to you? And how do you guys manage to maintain (clean/safe etc) beaches if people are not charged to enter?

Circling back to racism in the Caribbean. Other things you might not have realized have racist routes:
- the concept of “nice” or “good” hair. Notice 90% of the time they mean dougla or Indian hair or straight hair.
- carnival photographers only finding the fairest to post

Okay. As a guy my clothes are pretty basic because that’s just how it is and most men look for durable clothes that last longer
Women’s clothes are often more about style and to fit different body type it takes different sizes
Even in male clothes you still might be a different size because of how it is designed
Assuming you are born female and have the correct bone structure women’s clothing is designed for that
But this person is born male and therefore is larger than most women
Most women aren’t 6 ft 3 with wide shoulders

@guruintraining_ In St Lucia the government owns beachfront property entirely and it can never be privately owned, called the Queen’s or King’s Chain. It can be leased from the “Crown” for peppercorn rent for long periods eg $1/year for 99 years but you can’t deny public access.

@guruintraining_ Because beaches are public the government maintains them. In Barbados that is the NCC National Conservation Commission. Legally a landowner of beachfront property owns all the land up to the high water mark (HWM) which is the mean line (average) between high and low tides lines.
