"It is time for Ukraine to end more than a decade of legislative restrictions, and for the Hungarians of Transcarpathia to restore all their cultural, linguistic, administrative and educational rights and become equal and respected citizens of Ukraine again... If these issues can be resolved, we will definitely be able to start a new chapter in Ukrainian-Hungarian bilateral relations," added Magyar. He noted that he considers the compromises proposed by Ukraine on educational issues in 2025 "promising, but insufficient."
