Gentile Cecilia, che la fotografia sia generata (o artefatta, la cosa cambia pochissimo) è indiscutibile. Ho già spiegato nei dettagli perché (lo sfondo, i volti, i colori: tutto assolutamente innaturale). Che la conferma della sua autenticità arrivi da Associated Press, che non produce foto da Gaza ma le riceve dai reporter locali, vuol dire meno di niente: come sai c'è una sterminata quantità di documenti che testimoniano innumerevoli episodi di "staging", anche sanzionati da agenzie internazionali. Quanto poi alla conferma di Grok o di Gemini, è la conferma del tragico loop nel quale il giornalismo contemporaneo è immerso: si cerca la conferma di un artefatto ricorrendo ad un artefatto superiore, prescindendo sempre più dalla realtà, cioè da fonti inoppugnabili. Quando la realtà tornerà di moda (perché tornerà, puoi esserne certa), il giornalismo vero potrà dire la sua. Tieniti pronta, hai l'età giusta per farlo.

Velardi sostiene che questa fotografia da Gaza è falsa, generata con l’intelligenza artificiale. Invece la foto – che ho pubblicato in un post – è autentica ed è di Associated Press, una delle tre agenzie di stampa più importanti del mondo, che (ovviamente) verifica le immagini prima della diffusione. È stata scattata dalla fotoreporter palestinese Mariam Dagga al funerale di Rashad Qasas – ucciso a Gaza mentre era in coda per una distribuzione di aiuti – l’11 giugno. Quattro giorni fa anche Mariam Dagga è stata uccisa da un bombardamento israeliano. Velardi non ha trovato cinque minuti per cercare su Google la foto a cui voleva dedicare il suo editoriale prima di scriverlo. Non ha neppure notato che, sotto il mio post, l’intelligenza artificiale Grok (di X) e Gemini (di Google) avevano già risposto a questa obiezione dicendo: la fotografia è autentica, non è generata con l’AI. E ha scritto un sermoncino sulla morte del giornalismo che suona come una confessione
