If I remember correctly, he specifically said OTHER actors would've had a problem. I feel like he made it clear that he was not talking about himself or his "own insecurities" as the comments to op's post are implying.

I feel like he's on the same page, but he kind of worded it poorly. Also I think him using the word "masculinity" threw people off bc of how stigmatized that word has become but again, I don't think he meant it the way this app painted it as.
