@robfordmancs Also how do you organize sensitive conversation with students about their progress / their issue with grades ? How do you do a telephone interview etc etc … the idea of open space seems to be an utopia about knowledge sharing not rooted in a careful review of work processes.

Definite no from me. I worked open plan before going to uni. Hated that. First job after PhD was shared office. Hated that even more. Plus most academics have a lot of 1-1 meetings (office hours, supervisions etc).Open plan no use for those. Bootable spaces always oversubscribed.

1/ You're going to hear wild and contradictory claims about Customs Unions. Two reasons: 1. The Brexit conversation has more grifters, chancers and hacks than a Trump Cabinet meeting; & 2. A 'Customs Union' can be done in many different ways. Can't fix #1, so a thread on #2.
