@Dan_Hoard So good to see your “5 Observations”, Dan! One of my favorites!
English

Five observations from #Bengals practice:
1. Joe Burrow stayed after practice to throw numerous deep balls and varied the trajectory and velocity.
“His throws are perfect, honestly,” said rookie WR Colbie Young. “He’s one of the best quarterbacks in the league and the way he takes time out of his day to perfect his craft just shows the effort he puts in to win.”
English

@SleeperNFL @SleeperBengals @BengalsLead 3-2 would be acceptable, 4-1 would be really really good. I don't think 5-0 is very likely, maybe a 1% chance.

@sukepon2021 As Greil Marcus said, because the Sex Pistols intended to “end” rock n roll, The Clash had to be the greater band to save it.

@OneOutOf4 And you told me not to drive / But I made it home alive / And you said that only proves that I’m in-sa-ane. Something like that. The first exhibit in my “Billy Joel is such a fraud” case!

@zimwhodey A terrible day for Taylor, and not a great day for Burrow. He had 2nd and 3 and didn’t pick up a first down. Then, what was Taylor’s play calling after the Hurst catch in the last minute? Like they had no idea what they were doing.
English

I’m watching this 2022 AFC championship game on NFL network. It’s nasty how they didn’t even point out 5th down. On the intentional grounding didn’t point out Perine was right there. Didn’t even show the throw to Hurst Burrow threw on like 3rd & 16. Didn’t highlight how bad Chiefs offense was in the 2nd half of the game at all just glazed em. Didn’t even point out how the punt with 30 secs was so dumb and all they had to do was punt it out of bounds and we go to overtime. The way they edited this is crazy.

@Uzonna7 The one I enjoy rewatching the most is Burn After Reading. It’s so funny.

@GenTXer2 A lot of people will tell you Tim, but I think it’s Don’t Tell A Soul. I still like Pleased to Meet Me.
English

@John__Sheeran Yes, I have always said that as well. Almost always good QB’s — and WR’s too!
English

I have legitimately always said this. There was a rough patch in the early 90s but over 6 decades, cincinnati’s transitions from qb to qb are way underrated.

The #CincinnatiBengals have had consistently good quarterback play for almost 60 years From @John__Sheeran

@Lady_FanAccount My favorite part is Andy’s “screeching birds” outro solo. And Stewart’s inspired drumming throughout, also especially in the last minute.

"Message in a Bottle" was written by Sting, inspired by the image of a lone castaway throwing bottles into the sea in the hope that someone would find them.
The main guitar riff was Sting's idea that Andy Summers rearranged and transformed into what we know today (and which Rolling Stone named one of the 100 greatest riffs in history). It was The Police's first #1 on the UK Singles Chart (3 weeks at the top in 1979), also #1 in Ireland, #5 in Australia, #2 in Canada... but in the US it reached only #74 on the Billboard Hot 100.
English

@algreen Nobody wrote horn charts like Willie Mitchell.

@60sPsychJukebox It would be 10 years until his next #1 hit - Superstition.

May 21 1963 - 12 year old Little Stevie Wonder recorded a song that would be his first #1 hit, "Fingertips Pt. 2" at the Regal Theatre in Chicago The 7 minute song was later edited into 2 parts for radio play. Fingertips was a live version of an instrumental album track but, Stevie returned to the stage unexpectedly, the house band was already changing for Mary Wells’ performance. That led to the celebrated moment on the live recording in which incoming bass player Larry Moses, suddenly thrust into action, shouts "Hey Steve What key? What key?”...
Marvin Gaye on drums, FYI

English

@60sPsychJukebox The most chaotic, inspired, spontaneous single ever to go to #1 -- and for a 12-yr old blind kid. This is how a legend is born.

@dextown9 @TheFireMaan If they can extend Turner and Murphy before start of this season, they can then put franchise tag on Dax next year to give them time to work something out before start of '27 season. Battle is going to be good, and I put him ahead of Dax due to $$.
English

@fe69106c8c8a484 @TheFireMaan Dax Hill is a more important extension candidate than Battle in my opinion. Hill balled out last year when he became a boundary CB. I'm not sure that Battle doesn't lose his starting job to Dugger this season.

@tompetty Stan was the Lynch-pin!
I love all the Heartbreakers.
English

“Stanley? Oh man, he's my leader on stage. He's the one who's really driving the car. I look to Stanley for every change, every shift in dynamics, everything. And he's been with us a long time and…I must say I love him and I hope he loves me back.” - Tom Petty
Join us in wishing a very happy birthday to Heartbreaker Stan Lynch!
