@N7Necromorph Yeah, the modern RE games really struggle with enemy variety. I think the worst examples are RE7 and RE2 Remake, which had half the enemy types of the OG. With that said, RE9 has a really good variety of enemy encounters.

The Raccoon City section in Resident Evil: Requiem desperately needed B.O.W.s like the Drain Deimos, Hunters, Cerberus and a Grave Digger boss fight. Fighting only one enemy type without any variety gets boring fast. #ResidentEvilRequiem

@AestheticGamer1 I prefer a kinda plain Jill to the obnoxious bi-otch we got in 3 Remake. That's not a jab at the actress--she's OK. But her writing in RE3R didn't feel at all like Jill to me. Plus, her design fucking sucked. 90% of RE characters' personalities are their character design.

@AestheticGamer1 I hope Claire gets a good design this time. As much as I love RE2R, Claire's design is so boring and forgettable (jeans and tanktop). So I hope they don't throw away her original design again in CV.

Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake is being directed by Kazunori Kadoi & Yasuhiro Anpo, same duo who directed Resident Evil: 2 Remake & Resident Evil: 4 Remake.

Its sad that Isao Ōishi seemed to stop working with Capcom on Resident Evil after 2, they brought such a energy and vibe to the concept phase, with a solid grasp on the perfect balance of cute and cool. I'd love to see a short animated series replicating this style.

@Bawkbasoup Agreed. Both are masterpieces, but I prefer the atmosphere and villains in the OG, and the combat and level design of the remake.

RE4R has some of the best action gameplay of ALL TIME & the level design/weapon balance was done perfectly. RE4 though... The atmosphere, characters, dialogue & general vibe of the game were all 10/10. Two of the best games ever made & the remake does NOT replace the OG.
