There is a question Safaricom Chairman Adil Khawaja and CEO Peter Ndegwa cannot keep avoiding. Why have the darkest complaints around Safaricom grown louder under your watch? This is no longer just about bundles disappearing, calls dropping or customer care taking Kenyans in circles. Those are serious issues, but the bigger question is trust. Safaricom holds the private life of nearly every Kenyan. It holds our phone records, locations, M-Pesa trails, contacts, business payments, family transactions and daily movements. That means Safaricom is not just a telco. It is a vault of national life. So when Kenyans start hearing allegations about user data being exposed, shared or sold to state actors accused of abducting and killing citizens, the chairman and CEO cannot hide behind polished corporate statements. They must answer directly. Why are these allegations rising during your reign? Why do Kenyans increasingly feel that Safaricom knows everything about them but protects nothing for them? Why has customer confidence declined so badly that many now believe the company is more loyal to power than to the people who built it? If Safaricom is innocent, then open the books of accountability. Tell Kenyans how many data requests have come from security agencies. Tell us how many were backed by court orders. Tell us how many were rejected. Tell us who inside Safaricom approves access to customer data. Tell us what safeguards exist when the same state agencies requesting data are being accused of abducting and killing citizens. Silence is not privacy policy. Corporate PR is not accountability. This company became powerful because Kenyans trusted it with their lives. Now the same Kenyans are asking whether that trust has been turned into a weapon against them. Under Adil Khawaja and Peter Ndegwa, Safaricom must explain why complaints about privacy, state access, poor service, arrogance, dropped calls, weak customer care and corporate opacity have all become louder at the same time. That pattern is not normal. It suggests a company whose leadership is no longer listening to customers, no longer afraid of public anger and no longer treating trust as sacred. Safaricom should not behave like an extension of state power. It should not behave like a surveillance desk. It should not behave like a company where Kenyans are useful only when buying bundles, sending M-Pesa and paying transaction fees. Adil Khawaja and Peter Ndegwa must come out and answer. Are you protecting Kenyan customers or exposing them? Are you serving citizens or serving the state? Are you running a trusted communications company or a data pipeline for power? Because once a company that holds the lives of millions loses public trust, no amount of advertising can repair the damage.

On this working weekend, I conducted an inspection visit at the Kenya Power substation in Garissa County to monitor the implementation of H.E. President William Samoei Ruto's directive to upgrade transformers and resolve persistent power outages in the region. Under the principle of Cabinet collective responsibility, I followed through on the government's commitment to reliable electricity as a critical enabler for healthcare, economic growth and improved livelihoods. The substation was commissioned in May 2016, with a single 7.5 MVA transformer. Rapid urban growth and the planned connection of Dadaab town to the national grid soon made that capacity inadequate. A first upgrade added a second transformer, bringing total capacity to 15 MVA. Now, as part of the President's pledge to end power interruptions, a major upgrade is underway: a new 23 MVA transformer has been delivered and will be installed, raising total capacity to 38 MVA. This represents a 400% increase since commissioning, a sign of this administration's follow-through on its promises. Installation begins this Monday and is scheduled for completion within two weeks. Once operational, the enhanced substation will ensure stable, uninterrupted power for Garissa and even far-flung areas like Dadaab, fostering development and improving quality of life. The government reaffirms that no region will be left behind in accessing reliable electricity, a cornerstone of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). Accompanied by Garissa County Commissioner Mr. Ramadhan Mwabudzo, I was hosted at the Substation by Kenya Power County Manager Yunis Bishar.

BREAKING THE INTERNET WITH PURE KENYAN UNITY! Somalis just pulled the ultimate peace move — they sent their MOST BEAUTIFUL lady straight to Kamba residents with one simple request: “Let there be PEACE!” And Kenyans replied in one voice: “Amani itawale! Tuko pamoja!” One smile from her and all the tension disappeared This is the kind of beautiful diplomacy Kenya needs right now!Who else is smiling and feeling this love? Drop if you support peace between communities! Tag your Kamba & Somali squad and share if this warmed your heart!#OneKenya #AmaniItawale

As a Muslim & descendant of those who actually spread this faith, I have one question: Why the fuck are these idiots praying in the middle of streets & blocking roads? What if someone’s dying & needs an ambulance, you morons? Your street prayer is more important than their life? That’s not Islam that’s political bullshit and extremism by the Muslim Brotherhood and IRGC types! Pray in the mosque or at home. You’re not in an Islamic country. Deal with these clowns firmly ..

Communities or tribes don't commit crimes, individuals do. The govt must arrest the individuals who killed innocent citizens & put them behind bars. Only when criminals know they would personally be held responsible for the crimes they commit, is when we would have peace.

Kenyans should learn how to live with other communities in a peaceful and respectful manner. No community is superior or special—ignorance should be avoided. This should be seen as the action of individuals, not something that represents the entire Christian community in Kenya. I am not advocating violence, but what some individuals did was barbaric and heinous. Therefore, we should always promote peace and embrace dialogue.

@feisalfx @Halima_Diida Peace is paramount. At the same time, those responsible must face the law. There is a recorded case of a woman allegedly inciting people in Garissa; she should be held accountable. Such actions only fuel further conflict.

The hate targeting Somalis has risen again, louder than before. This dangerous trend must end now. No community should be attacked for who they are. The government must act fast before it grows into something worse!!
