2026 is the year. About Pagerift & what happened to it. Short version: we were thinking about writing wrong. We spent most of early/mid 2025 building an AI writing tool. Features, UI, the usual. Somewhere around late summer we looked at what we made and realized it was just... another one. Another writing app doing the same thing as everyone else. We stopped. Didn't touch it for a solid month. We kept going back to how writing existed before software. A weird rabbit hole but it made us realize we were building for content when writing is actually this 5000 year old practice. After that nothing we'd made felt right. Name was wrong. Features missed the point. Had to rethink almost everything. So now it's Feldar. New name, new direction, same obsession with writing just thinking about it differently. We have specific tools for specific writers. Longform, creative writing, editing, different workflows for different people. Very opinionated about how writing should work. Ran our first two batches of testing recently. Went really well. Feels like we're onto something very big. More soon.
