So the biggest problem with Ranked Crystalline Conflict being on the Crystal data center this season is the fact that they’re locking servers due to congestion post-Fanfest. There’s the real potential that if you don’t pre-park your character that you won’t be able to visit for ranked queues during primetime. It wouldn’t be a big deal if ranked queues didn’t die off as quickly in the season as they do at higher ranks but there’s real potential that these servers being locked can really hurt some players’ climb. We don’t really see this problem when the queues are on Primal or Dynamis but with Crystal being the RP/Venue DC it fills up more quickly than everywhere except Aether. Thankfully, in Evercold, this won’t be a problem anymore due to the duty system being regionwide, but I think we’re gonna suffer a little bit this season and potentially next season depending on where they run the last season of Dawntrail. Hopefully they send it over to Dynamis since it’s still relatively free (and you can snag a house easily there) but who knows what’s gonna happen to the population after EU and JP Fanfests? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Xenosys Vex may have single handedly revived FF14. He, at the very least, breathed life into it through his criticism. Everyone else has either given up on it or fallen by the wayside largely through no fault of their own. This is why people must allow the game to be criticized constructively, sometimes harshly.
