Akshardham Temple Akshardham Temple located on the banks of the Yamuna River (India) is India's most magnificent stone Hindu temple and tower complex. The project was invested and built by the non-profit religious organization BAPS in late 2000, completed in 2005. The temple was initiated by Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the current head of the Hindu Swaminarayan religion.
