An incorrect talking point amongst some of the BIP110 crowd seems to be that "it's the same people who were small blockers in 2017 on our side". Nope. Off the top of my head I can count way more 2017 era UASF and/or NO2X small blockers vocally AGAINST 110 than in favour. Against 110: @adam3us @nvk @lopp @peterktodd @KLoaec @ToneVays @theonevortex @Rob1Ham @giacomozucco (notably Giacomo is pro Knots but anti 110). And of course, almost all core devs are against 110, including sipa, gmax, @murchandamus and various others who were vocal in that 2017 era. Pro 110: @LukeDashjr & @GrassFedBitcoin (and even here, Mechanic wasn't vocal in the 2017 small blocker era). It's not even close.

@felipecreate It has been going up but there are almost surely some sybil attacks still ongoing which inflate the numbers and make them fluctuate wildly.

I sometimes make wordy posts trying to get a point across. Being able to get complex topics across in as few words as possible is a skill. Bravo, sir. Bravo.

That really isn’t a very encouraging model. Capitalistically speaking, nobody would mine at a loss, long term. I really don’t think Satoshi intended it to be loss making exercise. I’m sure he didn’t want it to be a super lucrative venture, but the difficulty adjustment is more an instrument to keep block times close to 10 minutes than it is to make miners break even or lose money. Also, Llok at the explosion in hash power we have had in 17 years. That’s because it is (was?) very profitable. I do see that plateauing, though.

We figured out that dad has a psych med induced neurological injury, and has been suffering from akathisia. It’s been 6 years since any psych medications. Last summer his symptoms started, after a flare up likely induced by mold (CIRS) and stress. It was complicated by pneumonia and associated sepsis a month later. It’s been horrible. Neurological injuries from psych meds are far more common than people know. I made this video to explain what they are and what akathisia is because they’re not talked about enough, they’re misdiagnosed, nearly impossible to treat, and hidden by the pharmaceutical industry. I don’t plan on making another update about my dad, it stresses my family out, and myself, and there’s nothing more to say about it until things get better. I will be jumping up and down about psych med injury awareness from now on as it’s impacted my health as well, and is devastating. Prayers are appreciated still.
