Today is #worldMEday and part of #MEawarenessweek
I’ve had this horrific disease since I was 14yrs old. A fit, health and active teenager, until I got a severe gastric flu, and never recovered.
For the last 7yrs in various ways my health has been declining, until near death

This is rlly sad, and yes it is a form of sexual abuse, i don’t think michael was a good person but it makes me sad that he never had a chance, truly a product of his environment

@la_roja117 This is so interesting vera :3 i love the genre, do you have any recommendations or resources for learning more about ambient?
English

@felouria tho, the birth of ambient music is a bit nuanced. While early ambient music was definitely influenced by postmodern classical, the foundation was laid down by German prog from Berlin and, in a lesser extent, Düsseldorf. I'm talking Tangerine Dreams, Ash Ra Temple and Kraftwerk

@The_Pequod_ I totally forgot all the vaporwave ambient subgenres like dreampunk/slushwave/mallsoft

Look up “attention restoration theory” it theorizes that we are constantly bombarded with urban stimuli that fatigues us and gives us anxiety, vs when we’re in nature we are exposed to “soft fascination” which is less overstimulating and makes us more energized and happier.
Cera Gibson@CeraGibson
I don’t think people were meant to be bombarded with so much stimulus all the time. A grocery store with carts rattling, and the worst top 40 songs from the last 25 years blaring, all while bathed in fluorescent light, is a very unpleasant environment. If people need to listen to a playlist or a podcast to get through it without raising their blood pressure, I think that’s fine.
