@Aaron_GDAC Not at all. The source of my dysphoria came from internal source of conflict, not just gender stereotypes, but more from my sexed body and identity as a person in conflict. It’s more an orientation where sex & identity cross.

@FreyaLee5806 Then your focus should be on Genspect, not on Jonni. We protect our care & lives & prevent Genspect from using stories like Jonni's by acknowledging their experiences and making efforts to ensure safer, better, & appropriate care. Genspect can't & won't say that. Consider that.

@femoit13 Clearly you do... have an illusion of what they are doing. Jonni is doing everything he can to cause harm. As he is actively pushing scaring people cịs. Backing laws to ban care. The only ones doing harm to detransitioners. Are detransitioners!

The attacks on Jonni both on their story & their appearance really need to stop. Hormones are not magic, the protocol we follow for transition is not without risk & some of us have really awful medial care, side effects, & providers.

I've seen a lot of comments specifically in reference to me having had hematuria on the blocker and I just want to say that this is a rare to uncommon side effect with puberty blockers. I was started on Spiro first as I believe my insurance did not cover the puberty blocker at first. Spiro works as a diuretic so it makes you pee more, and then when I had puberty blockers at 14 is when I had started developing ulcers and peeing blood and they had found no pathology when a biopsy was taken of these ulcers so no one really knew what was causing them at the time. If you go on the supprelin la website they state that side effects are not all known and on mayo clinic the side effect of urinating blood (hematuria) is one of them under rare, other websites will have it under uncommon side effects. Meaning it doesn't happen to everyone but it is a known side effect that can occur from puberty blockers, and in that instance it's supposed to be removed immediately but my mom had to fight for it to be removed. I think that's the difference is everyone's bodies will react a little bit differently so I see a lot of people getting mad at me because their bodies didn't react like this to the medication. But just because I had one reaction doesn't mean that every single person will it just means that these are reactions that can occur that these doctors are not warning people about or are denying that they could be connected to the medication. When it's actually stated on the medications website that there could be numerous potential side effects and other websites such as drugs.com or Mayo clinic do state hematuria as a possible side effect. mayoclinic.org/drugs-suppleme… I see a lot of people saying I didn't understand my own medical Care and well of course I was a young teenager and did not understand and when my mom or myself had asked these questions my doctor had brushed them off and said it couldn't be related. But when the blocker was finally removed these ulcers cleared up I've never had an incident since and never had an incidents before the blocker and there was no sign of a UTI infection as there was no pathology or bacteria found. So I did genuinely have this reaction to the blockers I'm not saying every single person will have that same exact reaction, however this does occur. I hope that clears up some people's confusion/criticism to my story / testimonies.

@FreyaLee5806 If you take a look at the things I have written you will see that I am quite critical of Genspect & I have no illusions at what they are doing. That said, Jonni is a human being. We should be interested in making efforts to prevent more experiences like Jonni's.

I know this may seem a bit off topic from my usual, for a moment imagine if we all could say something similar for our own lives & interactions with each other, not just in our work, but in every relationship we have. I think this is why it hits.

This is the third time I’m posting Harrison Ford’s speech from the Actor’s Award. With every passing day, this speech hits harder & harder. Of all the award tributes, speeches, monologues I’ve ever seen, this is up there. Why? It’s straight from Ford’s heart. He’s an inspiration.

@Hontas_Farmer @datadriven_tdoc Yes that is my impression of him. He has had a terrible experience. One that he doesn't want repeated. This shouldn't be unimaginable to us who have had to deal with gender dyphoria & growing up with confusion, young, vulnerable & having no voice.

@datadriven_tdoc @femoit13 Jonni has tried to clarify things and also clarify that he is NOT anti the rest of us having trans care. He spoke for two minutes and people are only seeing a short like what 20 sec cut of his testimony. x.com/JonniSkinner/s…

@datadriven_tdoc Jonni, says something that I say all the time. I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through. That is the common ground in which we need to work. Until as a community we face the reality of things, the Jonni's of the world are going to go to orgs like Genspect.

I agree with all this, but there are elements of his story that as a medically knowledgeable person raised some question marks And he is using this story, which is particularly horrific, as part of a campaign that does not simply seek to provide better support for detransitioners or to help detransitioners seek redress (both of which i support), but to take away care from those who stand to benefit. So I think it’s very reasonable given the stakes to subject his claims to a higher degree of skepticality and less credibility, than I have afforded to others detrans narratives I also agree that attacks focused on his appearance are both counterintuitive and very low brow.

While hormone replacement therapy (HRT) does cause significant epigenetic shifts, the idea that "every cell" is replaced on a fixed 7–10 year cycle is inaccurate. Research shows that gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) does indeed remodel the "epigenetic environment" (the

HRT changes DNA methylation to epigenetic environment the same as a cys woman’s. Every cell in your body at 7-10ish years on HRT is replaced by one with that epigenetic environment. By literally every metric except for genitals and chromosomes or body changes to female.

We need to hold sacred our care which means making sure it is safe, appropriately administered & held to standards that we can be confident in. It also means holding providers to account & correcting errors. My heart goes out to people like Jonni & his family.

Medical transition results vary, every body is different, every situation & individual are unique. There is an unhealthy amount of expectations surrounding transition. Youth transition is perhaps the most serious of all medical decisions anyone can be faced with.

🏳️‍⚧️OP is getting called out by other transitioners for lying about the well-known pediatric protocol (puberty blockers + estrogen) that @JonniSkinner was transitioned under at the age of 13. Jazz’s puberty was blocked even earlier than Jonni’s, and Jazz’s blocker remained in Jazz’s arm until at the age of 17, the adolescent’s gonads were surgically removed. This was broadcasted as a fact on international TV. It really goes to show that activists with the agendas to medicalize kids, when confronted with the barbarity of the outcomes these kids report in early adulthood— will simply pretend that the protocol which causes these predictable problems does not exist. They refuse to believe that the doctors they practically worship could do something that actually harms people. This is a case study in true insanity. ———————————————- Random pic of me + Jonni the legend from about a week ago which I haven’t posted yet

You don't get put on puberty blockers and estrogen, that completely defeats the purpose of either. Y'all are just paying for any type of detransition aren't ya
