@app_settings I keep seeing the app thing, but I think it's more of an "I don't want this in this app and I specifically need this in that app thing" I don't understand how big of a deal its just to click something one more time big bummer, for a really experience you need 1 year at least.

Day 3 of switching to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (as an iPhone user)
ok y’all, it’s time. i can’t do this anymore. i’m switching back to my iPhone 😭
don’t get me wrong- the S24 Ultra is a great phone, and i totally get why so many people love samsung.
that being said, although there are a lot of things i like about this phone, my iPhone 17 Pro has better performance, a MUCH better camera, and i honestly miss iOS and the Apple Ecosystem and Live Activities SO MUCH 😭
ALSO, android apps just aren’t as nice to use as iPhone apps- they feel a lot less polished because they have fewer in-app animations and haptics and stuff 🫠
the benefits of a Samsung phone- like the S-pen and Good Lock- just aren’t important enough to me personally for me to keep using it over my iPhone ngl, but i totally get why people pick Samsungs over iPhones- it’s INSANE how much you can tweak and mess around with lol
this was a really fun experiment, but until Google focuses on improving app quality on Android i really don’t think i could ever switch to using an Android as my main phone lol
i’m gonna keep the S24 Ultra as a secondary phone, so i can still have the Android experience and post about it, but my eSim will be going back in the iPhone :p
my iPhone has all the customisation features i could want, so again- i personally don’t really find things like Good Lock worth giving up app quality and the Apple ecosystem and stuff for 😭
ANYWAY- thank you all for reading! i’m going to make a long-form video soon talking about the experience in more detail, so keep an eye out for when i post that! lmk if you have any questions or anything and i’ll answer them asw✌️

@RubinReport What I read in all that text "He caved" plain and simple

Which Panican wants to hand me my “I told you so” award?
Trump has been running the same negotiation playbook forever. Pressure, escalation, chaos… then leverage a deal. We’ve watched it happen again and again. This wasn’t complicated. It was basic pattern recognition.
While some people were panicking, others were paying attention.
Now we move to Phase 2.
Iran is largely neutralized. The Strait is reopening. The war is de-escalating. Markets are already reacting.
That’s not a small win—that’s a global reset.
This forces movement everywhere else. Russia and Ukraine get pulled closer to a real negotiation. China has to think twice about Taiwan when the U.S. just proved it will apply overwhelming pressure when it matters. And for the first time in decades, there is a real path to stepping back from endless Middle East entanglements.
Look at the region. It’s no longer just Israel. You’re seeing alignment across countries that historically were nowhere near each other.
The world is safer today than it was yesterday—and it’s about to get even safer over the next few months as this locks in.
And yes, let’s be very clear about this:
This happened because of Donald Trump.
Not the pundits. Not the podcasters. Not the panic merchants. Trump.
Now comes the real opportunity.
With global stability improving, we can finally refocus inward at full speed. Immigration, housing, affordability, healthcare, infrastructure, AI, rebuilding American strength where it actually matters.
We are entering a new American era—economically, technologically, and yes, even in space exploration. This is what the start of a new frontier feels like.
So here’s the assignment:
Put your phone down. Go build something. Start a family. Create. Get outside. Do something real.
Stop listening to the Panicans.
Onward 🇺🇸

I didn’t watch the NFL’s halftime show but I’ve seen the clips here. Just an absolute disgrace and a massive middle finger to the fans to have the entire show in Spanish. Football is an American sport. This is our culture. Our pastime. I was expecting a disgusting spectacle, but it looks even worse than I thought.

At 36 years old - and not even from the United States - President Trump is an inspiration to millions around the world.
Most 76-year-olds who are blessed to still be alive are retired.
Golf. Grandkids. Quiet mornings. Zero pressure.
Hundreds of multi-billionaires do the same - enjoying their wealth in peace, anonymity, and comfort.
But one 76-year-old man doesn’t get that luxury.
President Donald J. Trump works nearly 24/7/365.
Minimal privacy.
Minimal family time.
Relentless attacks.
Endless lawsuits.
Constant lies.
Unmatched pressure.
He could’ve walked away.
He didn’t need the money.
He didn’t need the power.
And yet, he chose the hardest road imaginable.
For what?
For a country that forgot what leadership looks like.
For Americans crushed by globalists, corrupt elites, and endless wars.
For borders, sovereignty, faith, family, and freedom.
For a future his own grandchildren will inherit.
History will be clear:
When it would’ve been easiest to rest - he stood up.
When it would’ve been safest to stay quiet - he fought.
Love him or hate him, one thing is undeniable:
That’s not politics.
That’s duty.
That’s legacy. 🇺🇸

@Grummz He's getting ready to get impeached for a 3rd time, he is willing to spend billions of dollars on annexation rather than use the money on fixing the country, his dementia is getting worse.
English

@jonatanpallesen And then NATO destroys US economy, how? Easy, destroys all US bonds then dump US assets like stocks, stop using the dollar for backup currency, a trade embargo and a technological and energy blockade, obviously Europe would be impacted by this too, but the cult will be destroyed

It is rather frustrating that no Danish politician and no Danish news media even entertain the possibility of selling Greenland for $500 billion+.
It's now that we have the possible opportunity. If Greenland continues on a path to independence, the U.S. will likely make them an offer, they will join the U.S. anyway, and Denmark will get nothing.
So they are willing to throw away era-defining wealth for ... for what exactly? Some sort of principle that "you don't buy and sell people", or that just "Greenland is not for sale, period". Even if we end up with the same outcome: Greenland under U.S. control.
The notion that you don't buy and sell people is a confused framing. If there is a deal that the people of Greenland want to take, it is not "selling" them, it is allowing them freedom to make their own choices.
Even worse, I think that many people in Denmark would be interested in the idea of a sale, if they had any concept that we could possibly get a sovereign wealth fund, and how much it could mean for a small country like Denmark.
Many Danes are aware that we fund more than half of Greenland's budget, and that what we largely get in return is criticism and talk of independence.
But what they are not aware of is what a sovereign wealth fund of this size could mean for ordinary Danes: free daycare, lower taxes, twice as many teachers per student, better eldercare, and so on; all from just a fraction of the fund's yearly returns. These are things that would materially improve people's lives for generations. And yet the public has no idea this is even on the table.
This is because our press is completely useless, and does not inform the public about these things.
Even though it is one of the most important questions and situations in the history of our country.

@elonmusk First you need to end the gerrymandering, if you really want what the people need, that has to stop, and second you need to stop the electoral college, that bullshit does not represent the vote of the people, and then you can end the filibuster
English

Why is a non-talking filibuster allowed to happen? This makes it impossible to pass laws. It cannot be constitutionally valid, given that it runs so contrary to the will of the people!
The point of the filibuster was simply to allow senators to make their argument before legislation was passed. It is NOT there to require 60 votes to pass anything at all.
Mike Lee@BasedMikeLee
Seven Steps to a Highly Effective Congress 1. End the Zombie Filibuster 2. @DOGE 2.0 to slash spending 3. Pass the Shutdown Fairness Act 4. Pass the SAVE Act 5. Pass the REINS Act 6. Abolish earmarks 7. Pass aggressive permitting reform
