Thousands of workers are threatening to strike at the Los Angeles World Cup stadium. The SoFi Stadium plans to host two of the three US Men's World Cup matches, but now 2,000 cooks, servers, bartenders and more may strike. Their main issue? ICE being present at the World Cup.

@fernsasquatch @NikkiSh4547 You read what you want to read in all that you posted. I see none of it in what you’re saying. The King comments come from the Lefties, which what he is saying is simply a mocking joke. The chosen one is also a joke, because, a lot of his religious supporters say that.

Trump is almost certainly not literally claiming to be Jesus Christ. He has never made that explicit claim in public statements, interviews, or posts. Doing so would be political suicide even among his core evangelical supporters, who overwhelmingly see him as a flawed but chosen instrument of God (like the biblical Cyrus the Great, a non-believer king used by God to restore Israel, not the Messiah himself). Instead, this is classic over-the-top, AI-generated fan art that Trump frequently shares on Truth Social without any caption or explanation. It’s provocative imagery designed to energize his base and troll critics, and it fits a pattern of similar religious-patriotic posts he’s made. Here are the most plausible non-literal meanings, based on the symbolism in the image, Trump’s usual messaging style, the timing (Easter weekend 2026, right after he criticized the new Pope Leo XIV), and how his supporters are actually interpreting it: 1. “Healing America” as a political metaphor
The elderly man in the hospital bed isn’t a random patient . He visually represents the nation itself (or its suffering citizens: veterans, the elderly, working-class Americans). Trump has repeatedly used the “patient on the operating table” metaphor for America after years of what he calls mismanagement, division, inflation, border chaos, etc. The glowing hand and healing light symbolize Trump (or his policies/leadership) restoring the country’s health, strength, and spirit. The surrounding figures, the praying woman, veteran in the “PE TRUMP”/MAGA-style cap, active-duty soldier, and nurse, represent ordinary Americans from different walks of life being lifted up. Background elements (massive flag, bald eagles, fighter jets, fireworks, Statue of Liberty, monuments) scream national revival, military power, and celebration. 2. Divine favor / God working through him (not as him)
The heavenly light, ascending soldier-like figures, and radiant glow are straight out of religious art, but they signal blessing and anointing, not divinity. Many of Trump’s evangelical supporters believe God chose him for this moment in history despite (or because of) his imperfections to defend religious freedom, protect the unborn, strengthen the military, and push back against secular “woke” culture. The red robe over white echoes biblical kingly or priestly imagery, but in the context of MAGA Christianity it reads as “God’s man for the hour.” Sharing this lets Trump nod to that constituency without saying the words himself. It’s Easter-timed religious patriotism: faith + America First. 3. Rallying the base with hope, strength, and emotional imagery
Trump’s political brand is built on defiance, optimism, and spectacle. This picture is pure visual propaganda: a strong, compassionate leader who is both warrior (military jets, eagles) and healer (laying on hands). It tells supporters: under Trump, America gets its pride, power, and prosperity back, and God is on our side. 4. Biblical allusion to “lay hands on the sick” without claiming to be Christ
Some defenders are pointing to Mark 16:18 (“they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover”) or James 5:14-15 as the reference. The image is framed as faith-powered healing channeled through a God-blessed leader, not Trump personally being the source of miracles. It’s inspirational exaggeration, not a theology lesson. In short, the picture is hyperbolic patriotic-religious fan art that Trump amplifies because it perfectly encapsulates the MAGA worldview: America has been wounded, Trump (with God’s help) is the one who can heal and restore it to greatness. Critics are reading it as literal blasphemy because that fits their narrative; supporters read it as powerful symbolism of national and spiritual renewal. Trump knows exactly what he’s doing by posting it, it’s red meat for his base and clickbait for everyone else.

@realCarola2Hope @EloinaLore46021 I don’t think so either. I’ve paid attention because it has always bothered me too. Melania didn’t remind him either, like she knew he didn’t want to swear on the bible so she didn’t push it.

@Tangueray41 @60Minutes Yes it was a horrible mistake in the fog of war. IRGC intentionally slaughters citizens m, and their families, for simply opposing them. Good luck wrapping your pea brain around that fact. Moron.

“To splice together movie cuts with actual bombing and targeting of people for the purposes of entertainment is sickening. This is not who we are,” says Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago, criticizing what he calls the White House’s “gamification” of the war on social media. cbsn.ws/4tO90K5

@maxpcohen Men like Swalwell need to be surgically excised from the party. OUT. No tolerance, no mercy. Swalwell KNEW this would someday come to light and he ran for Gov anyway. It's unforgivable the damage he could have done to Dems if this came out months later. RESIGN. and good riddance.

Swalwell should never have ascended to be a frontrunner for the most important Gov in the country. We need to vet candidates way in advance of this level of advancement. Especially men. How many times are we gonna get burned before we grasp this?

We caught up with @RepJeffries in Virginia. Asked whether @RepSwalwell should resign from Congress in addition to ending his bid for California governor, Jeffries told us: “Our statement for the moment speaks for itself. We’ll reconvene in Washington early next week and we'll have more to say.”
