Not because you’re “not needed.” Because if you’re always needed… your business can’t grow past you.

One of the saddest things I can see in my own history: I curtailed the growth of my business… by not getting out of its way.

Stop calling them “them.” Because that is your damn team. If they’re needed to achieve what you want to achieve they’re on the team.

But here’s the leadership question: Do you realize how poor your leading is to the people you’re pissed off about… …because they’re not helping you achieve what you want to achieve?

Most people define “team” wrong. When someone in an organization asks: “How’s your team doing?” What I want to hear is: Which one?
