@centerofhip I’ve always failed to understand this, but does adding a second screw (like in this construct proximally) affect the ability of the DHS to dynamize?
If so, how do you decide when is needed?

I have struggled to do these on fx table. Redn is a pain, iliopsoas is in way and prox frag is in severe ext rotn.
I find redn very easy in lateral position as the fx is staring at you. Opened laterally held with clamps and DHS. The screw could have been few mm lower.

@theartfu1doctor @hugortopedista I am completing my orthopedic residency, and have never seen a cemented cup. In a revision, we had to cement a poly, but that is the extent of it😅

When use cemented cups never forget:
1-Remove all cartilage to make a congruent surface for cement application.
2- Do Anchoring holes to enhance the mechanical stability of the cup.
3- Lavage and drying bone enhance optimal cement penetration & fixation strength.
