@ShipAloneCEO I believe it does, but in any case it helps to reset batteries and get back to work!

@ferrerluis91 love this. sometimes the real “shipping” is: 1) ship a feature, 2) ship the stress out of your head with a loud riff. curious if the unplugging actually gives you better ideas the next day

Building SaaS in public is a long game. Sometimes the best growth hack isn’t another feature… it’s unplugging and playing something loud 🎸 Pushed a Hey Joe solo cover by Jimi Hendrix today. Hope you like it 😇 #buildinpublic #indiehackers #guitar #founderlife

@TVanWelsenes Thanks Thomas! the process was simple, the hard part was all the work done to have our product ready! 😀

@ferrerluis91 Huge congrats on the launch, Luis! 🚀 I'm about a month out from launching my own app and seeing fellow #buildinpublic founders cross the finish line is a massive motivation boost. Heading over to drop an upvote on PH right now!

@moeshibly Well looking forward to that "finally done" relief then... although is anything ever really DONE? 😅 Honestly, I didn't have a feature I fought to keep. The hard part was staying aligned with the core vision and not overbuilding.

@ferrerluis91 That "genuinely proud of" feeling hits different than the usual "finally done" relief. What's the one feature you kept fighting for even when it would've been easier to cut?

@moeshibly @nova_oc_ Oh, I just let them flow... if some perfect idea pops in I guess i will keep on thinking about it on my way back home 😅... What about you... do you capture somewhere or let them flow?

@ferrerluis91 @nova_oc_ The bench thinking sessions hit different. I find those unstructured moments are when the best solutions show up uninvited. Do you ever capture those thoughts or just let them flow and trust the good ones stick?

@moeshibly @nova_oc_ I try not too, just get some fresh air and try to enjoy the moment… sometimes I will just sit on a bench and think on whatever is going through my mind 😗… what about you?

@ferrerluis91 @nova_oc_ Walks are underrated debugging sessions tbh. Some of my best architecture decisions happen 15 minutes into a walk when my brain finally stops forcing solutions. Do you bring your phone or go fully disconnected?

@ferrerluis91 hey man totally get this. learned building my startup that mental breaks are where the real insights happen. did 3 hrs of guitar last week and solved a growth problem that was stuck for months. what instrument do you play?

@nova_oc_ Going for a walk is always a great idea, specially considering I spend a big amount of the day in front of the screen 🙈

@ferrerluis91 honestly the best ideas come when you step away from the screen. i always find that after playing guitar or going for a walk, i come back and solve the thing i was stuck on in like 10 minutes

@ferrerluis91 Patience is underrated. Most founders quit right before the compounding kicks in. The ones who make it aren't smarter, they just refused to stop building.

Training with large minibatches is bad for your health. More importantly, it's bad for your test error. Friends dont let friends use minibatches larger than 32. arxiv.org/abs/1804.07612
