My opinions and predictions about ''Watch It Burn'': - Based on the snippet, it has that core Katy Perry sound, stuck between Hot n Cold and Part of Me which makes it a perfect choice, it is so palatable for general public. - The production reminds me Smile by Avril Lavigne. - The theme is bold, but if it's about the concept of anger emotion rather than the actual tea, it may not go viral like Flowers. - I don't see any indication that Katy's label will properly promote and playlist the song despite it's allegedly being the lead single for KP7. - Since there is no confirmation about the promotion schedule (for ex: SNL, Jimmy Fallon, other US award shows), and the focus seems heavy on Europe summer festivals, I expect little to none promo. - If it lands on TTH, it will chart in BB Hot 100, and likely it won't free fall fast. - Might say under 10% chance this can be a moderate hit and force top 10 global streams eventually. - These are all prediction based on Capitol's behavior since Witness, so don't come for me. - It might end up being one of my favorite Katy songs of all time. - WATCH IT BURN!!!
