@FLUlDUM Magnus takes a moment, eyebrows lifting in surprise when the chocolate hits his tongue. "Mm. Now *that* is different. I would never have thought to ask for *chocolate*. But it's good!" He flashes a grin, then takes another sip. "What's it called, then?"

@DARKENTHUSlASM Really it was more of a nibble than anything. I feel bad just calling her ‘doggie’, though. You never told me her name.

@ferrostigmatic I always say: if it doesn’t require a hospital, it doesn’t count as a bite. So glad we’re on the same page.

@FLUlDUM Magnus makes a big show of leaning over to get a good look at said 'degree' she's pointed out. "A doctor, eh?" He gives a low whistle of appreciation. "I didn't know I was in such expert company."

@FLUlDUM Then it’s a good thing that Magnus has all the time in the world.~ He mirrors that grin, crooked and bright as he shuffles on over to the bar. “There she is, the mixologist herself,” he greets teasingly, leaning his elbows on the bar.

I wanted to fall down right there but I knew you wouldn’t catch me because you’re dead.

It's an experience of living, as anyone who’s ever sought acceptance and love has, by trying desperately to get something right. That something will always remain elusive even if we are good. Even if we are perfect. Even if, for just a moment, we can see beyond the horizon.

@losingcrimes — At least, if Magnus had the stomach for fighting. Settled into his spot, straw brought to his lips, Magnus’ eyes wander from his phone and around the shop, lingering for a moment on Billy in interest. It’s undoubtedly a look the man gets often, with a face like that.

@losingcrimes Magnus’ abilities are the sort that draw attention —— magnetic manipulation of some sort or another, not entirely clear considering how they keep his powers tamped down. Still, they’d be useful to whomever managed to convince the government to release him onto the payroll. —

⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ a new contract: surveillance always makes for an easy gig, and @ferrostigmatic seems harmless enough. he watches from a distance, stationed in the corner of a coffee shop as the mutant orders. ⠀⠀

@FLUlDUM Aww, that’s both flattering *and* endearing. He’s honored! He threw on something just a little flashy, a little sexy, then made his way down to the bar, peeking around a little for her when he finally enters.
