I’m really pleased with CC’s defense so far. I mean, she can still improve, but she’s not being a liability on the court anymore, and that’s a part of her game that’s getting better every game.

Players individually are looking so much better, you can tell MHA and Mo are finding their role in our team, CC's confidence is back, kelsey's offense is looking good, just need more of her in defense, sophie is getting into rhythm, just need lexie to be more confident.

Paige vs Caitlin in terms of shooting is interesting. If I wanted a consistent shooter, I would take Paige. Very reliable. But if I wanted someone who is clutch and can win the game and bring my team back from the depths of hell, I’m taking Caitlin😆.

@coltpeeps @kelelajolie Yes, I agree, and I never said fans can’t be upset or demand more, that’s fair. Criticism is part of sports and fine if respectful. She’s getting paid a lot, so she needs to play better, but two things can be true: she’s underperforming now, and she still deserved that Supermax.

@coltpeeps @kelelajolie Players care about opportunity, stability, loyalty. That matters for a team like Indiana trying to attract talent under pressure. At the end of the day, it’s a business. Players evolve, and you can’t treat them like they won’t. It’s a risk, but that’s how you stay competitive.

@coltpeeps @kelelajolie I’ve followed the league for a long time. Kelsey has always been inconsistent and not really a floor leader, but she’s still a strong player. Not giving her the supermax after last season would’ve sent the wrong message.

@kelelajolie She carried us last year until her legs gave out and nearly took us to the Finals. CC herself clearly wanted her back for a reason. Calling KM undeserving of the supermax over one off night is the exact same thing CC haters do to her. Great players have bad games too.

@kelelajolie I’m a ride-or-die CC fan, but I also genuinely love the Fever because you can tell how much they love and support her as a person, not just as a player. KM especially has always shown CC love, and it’s wild seeing fans turn on her over one bad game after everything she’s done.

What player made you fall in love with basketball?

@DBGyt_ I actually think a team/system like the Lynx would’ve fit her perfectly. Less pressure, more ball movement, more catch-and-shoot opportunities, and the narrative would’ve been “they got a steal” instead of “prove you deserved #1.”

@DBGyt_ Azzi is a great shooter and smart player, but being picked #1 in such a close class automatically puts a target on your back because every other rookie performance becomes a comparison. And with all the narratives surrounding her, the pressure is even bigger.

One thing I’ve noticed since I’ve started doing Caity reels on TikTok, the Latin community do not play about her. I wonder if she knows. A lot of comments and dms I get on there be Spanish people saying the love her 😭
