@PrezLives2022 @Windyla6 I came to my conclusion after examining my own thoughts on the subject, as I was initially undecided about the issue, but after realizing the advantages any athlete might possess, I decided that trans should be regarded as individuals & their chosen gender respected.

That would be wrong because I support trans equal rights in society. I support their right to be who they want to be free from hate and discrimination. I support them in all things except sports. States and universities are free to create trans competitions to create an equal playing field. This is not prejudice and your attempts to make it so is discrimination of opinion. I don’t get locked into the mindset that there is only one correct answer in the Democratic Party. That’s how you lose Democrats. I am a socialist and I will believe whatever the bell I want and you calling me prejudice doesn’t make it so. It makes you rigid and dogmatic with no respect for dissent.

I find it convenient that coaches in the WNBA support trans in sports, when the WNBA has never had a transgender player in the history of the WNBA. I suspect that they never will either because it would create a huge disadvantage over the rest of the players. No one is suggesting transgender kids cannot play sports, but once sports become age appropriate competition such as High school and above, it creates an uneven dynamic that biology simply cannot deny. Many cities have plenty of co-ed sporting opportunities. However, if the dream is to be a college player, Olympian, or professional athlete as a trans woman, it not only creates an unfair advantage, but it also takes a seat away from a deserving woman. How unfair is it that a highly qualified woman loses a spot on a team, whether HS, college, or even an Olympic spot, to someone who had a clear cut biological advantage that a woman simply could not outperform? How unfair is it for a woman to lose a medal, a record at any level, or a trip to nationals because someone had a biological advantage? We live in a country of ideas, and this is one are where we need better ideas, because allowing trans in women’s support, while maybe not a big issue to some at this point, it will become an issue to many down the road.

I do not understand how any Senate Republican could confirm Todd Blanche as Attorney General. Blanche's corruption makes John Mitchell look like a choirboy. It was against Blanche that a federal judge ruled an unconstitutionally vindictive prosecution was carried out against Kilmar Abrego Garcia; it was Blanche who sought a new indictment against New York Attorney General Letitia James after a federal judge completely dismissed by a federal judge, only to have a grand jury refuse to re-indict Letitia James; it is Blanche who is pursuing a frivolous, vindictive prosecution of James Comey over a photo of seashells spelling "8647;" it is Blanche who has stonewalled full compliance with the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act, prioritizing protection of a pedophile president over transparency; it is Blanche who obstructed the independent investigation of the cold-blooded murder of Alex Pretti and Renee Good; it is Blanche who was referred in terms of his conduct to a disciplinary board. If Blanche never sees the inside of a prison cell, it will not be for lack of cause. It'll be because Argentina refuses to extradite him.

I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

This is BEYOND humiliating for Trump... In a court filing today, Pirro's office acknowledged what Democrats have been saying since the beginning: the disgusting, green, rotting, condition of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is not the result of deranged liberal vandals. It's the result of Trump hiring incompetent crooks and cronies to carry out his so-called renovations. Pirro's office falsely accused Hearn — an Olympian canoeist — of "forcefully and violently" pulling at the pool's liner to destroy it. He pleaded not guilty earlier this month to a charge of "felony count of destruction of property." If convicted, he could have faced up to 10 years in prison. The efforts to prosecute Hearn were a blatant attempt on the part of the administration to bolster Trump's false, fanciful claims. This news is a major win not only for the rule of law and Hearn personally, but for everyone who believes in objective reality. I remember this one time when Fauci said masks would be a good idea and then my mom and I sewed and gave away hundreds of them. I remember that no one had masks to fit kids and we came up with multiple sizes to fit anyone. I remember driving around with my son and delivering them to people's doorsteps. I also remember that my Emergency physician husband partnered with the local university to design plexiglass barricades that would block aerosols but give the medical staff safe access to patients' airways. I remember when they distributed them to hospitals across our whole region. I remember sewing washable weighted tubes to hold drapes down over hospital patients. I remember running our 3-D printer all day and cutting up document sleeves to make visors for the medical staff. I remember going to the hardware store to get respirators for the hospital and then coming home and design designing washable fabric covers for them. I remember being grateful when we could finally get the vaccine. I remember watching that self-centered, laughingstock, pedophile dipshit on the television and thinking we were screwed no matter what we did. I remember listening to Fauci and thinking "this guy isn't gonna give up on us." FDT

Prof. Michael Mann on Donald Trump blaming Canada for wildfire smoke: These forests that are burning in Canada are boreal forests. There are very few people there. They have not been managed historically. This has nothing to do with changes in fire suppression or raking or any of these other things that Trump and these other comedians are talking about. It's because it's hotter and it's drier and it's hotter and it's drier because we've warmed up the planet with fossil fuel burning and carbon pollution. And they don't want us to pay attention to that. That's why we have these antics. They want the story to be ridiculous. The more we're talking about that, the less we're talking about the true culprit, which is climate change, fossil fuel burning. And we have an administration whose environmental policies and energy policies are literally being written by the fossil fuel industry. So why would we expect anything different.
