Obviously a major accomplishment. The fact that it happened against a team not trying to win and was aided by his team intentionally fouling when they were already up 20 will factor how it will be remembered, though.

@JustinHawks @NbaStraya In the land of “make up random crap that’s absolutely not true”, Kobe never left the game early and was shooting free throws in a game that was over with 40 seconds left. His last seven points, including the ones to surpass wilt, were free throws.

@fflumberjack @jeremytache And he STILL attempted TWENTY THREE FEWER free throws than Bam. Kobe made EIGHT more shots and shot NINE fewer threes. Kobe's was FAR MORE impressive.
Oh, and Bam only averages 4.8 FTAs per game.

Kobe’s last 7 points , to pass wilt mind you, all came on free throws with the game out of hand with 2-3 minutes to go. Guy was obviously fishing for the record with the help of his teammates this was no different. You’re welcome @jeremytache
