Porro vs Udogie: a thread. I’ve had a look at the two Spurs fullbacks to see which one I feel deserves a spot in our #FPL back lines. TL:DR: I believe that Porro justifies the extra outlay, particularly if you currently own neither player.

For example, and someone right me if I’m wrong, but a bicycle kick, a header, left footed, right footed shot from 6 yards out all have the same xG. Primary left footed striking it with their right should be devalued to their preferred foot. Feel free to correct me here.

What xG does is give a scrap of information. It is a barometer for gauging how many chances are taken and closeness to goal. Quality is an improper term because you can have 20 shots from the same spot but the configuration of the body, the positioning of players, etc all differ.

@FantasyLeague @qprclintdiaz I played in the days before supersubs, when you had a fixed XI for the weekend with no changes between matches. You also initially wouldn’t allow changes when matches overlapped. Those things changed because you recognised that people want to watch their players play and score.

@FantasyLeague @qprclintdiaz I 100% think that you’re the finest. But your usp is something that other games will never have, so I don’t think you need too many other differentiators. Ultimately though, what people enjoy are scoring points, so maximising the chances of that will always make you friends.

@FantasyLeague @qprclintdiaz goalscorer has the ball in order to score. It really should be that simple and if the ball is in a position for them to score a direct freekick, the person who effectively put the ball on that spot should surely be credited for that.

The infrequency shouldn’t be a determining factor otherwise you’d not bother having double assists given that they will similarly be scarce. Ultimately, an assist is about being the reason the

@ffsclouseau @qprclintdiaz We've done some detailed analysis of a few weekends this season and genuinely looked at defenders being subbed. We think its genuinely over thought. But every season we review. We will again this summer.

@FantasyLeague @qprclintdiaz then how about a tapering system so that it’s 2 points for 60 mins (still 1 for 45 and 3 for 75)? When the 75 minute rule was introduced, it was in the days when a defender was only ever subbed off if injured. With five subs now available, defenders come off all the time.

@FantasyLeague @qprclintdiaz someone being fouled for a freekick is no different to winning a penalty. It really makes no sense to exclude this given all the other assists that can be awarded. Something else which needs to be revisited is the 75 mins for a cleansheet. If you want to stick rigidly to that,
