@Petrolhead_Sean I agree the revenue would help, but there’s no actual plan on the table. There is no proposal, no engagement with CPO, just talk. That’s the issue.

@fft2106 Exactly because we do not have the revenue coming in to support our spending, the stadium would mean we wouldn't have to do the asset loopholes and sell as much as we have

@Petrolhead_Sean Revenue helps, but we’ve already been relying on player sales and asset loopholes just to stay within PSR, that tells you the problem isn’t the stadium, it’s the model.

@fft2106 A modern football club needs as much revenue coming in as possible for psr a new stadium would massively help with that, we earn currently around £85m a season from our stadium with a new one we would earn upwards of £200m a season that is a huge difference

Chelsea are behind Liam Rosenior and sympathise that he has come into a situation where the squad is said to be ‘knackered’ and has not had appropriate time to implement his ideas. Summer target lists are underway with all eventualities being considered, as Chelsea feel UCL qualification will likely come down to fine margins in May. There is no current suggestion that the model will be changed. Chelsea also feel that contract statues with many current stars wanting more money is further proof that it would not be wise to chase signings that would be looking for a high base salary. The club want players to be together as a team and earn their money. There is not an appetite to create an entitled and unhealthy culture and the cost to risk ratio is high. Directors are working within the financial restrictions and the model put in place by Behdad Egbhali. There may be an odd exception but generally this is what I’m told. The club are open to spending high transfer fee’s but not salaries straight away. 1/3…
