Because they’re wrong. It’s a Fighting Game. It’s a very *different* Fighting Hame due to its nature of different win conditions (knocking of the stage as opposed to draining a health bar) and that its movement is far more multi-leveled (most traditional fighting games are mostly played horizontally). But it’s still a Fighting Game. Trying to lump Fighting Games into rigid rules is too limiting for a genre that can have 3D movement or Assists or Tagging to other characters or Super Jumps or Ring Outs or multiple lanes or whatever. Some people do resist it for superficial reasons, like “Oh it’s a kiddie game!” or they just don’t like the game or the scene or whatever. And I’m not going to begrudge any of those people. They will think what they’ll think no matter what you say. But from my perspective, they’re not only wrong and that Smash IS a Fighting Game, but I personally think Smash is the most *intelligently* designed Fighting Game of all time. I’ve said I’ve always wanted to make a video about this, but I’ve always put it off. Maybe it’s time.

Ok, so, I have a quick question to the FGC. Why doesn't anyone think Super Smash bros is a fighting game or just hate it in general? Because I'm very curious about it and I enjoy Both Fighting games and Smash bros.

@frionel26 Did they fix the Wifi indicator not showing up bug on match accept in the last patch they release with the new UI? Every player shows up as wired.

Now that Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has solved most of its launch issues (ranked, UI, characters, content, training mode options, balance) and keeps getting better and better, with amazing esports opportunities for both competitors and spectators... What is still preventing you from getting the game and joining us? 👀 Please don’t answer this if you know you’ll never play the game, no matter what changes or improvements are made. I’m mainly asking players who are still hesitating, or waiting for specific changes before jumping in.

With this new Fatal Fury patch it now forces you to fight Wifi players. Either this is a bug or intentional. The accept screen will show wired and in the match it will show that they are on wifi. Is this a bug? #cotw #bug
