Belgium’s publicly funded youth radio station, Studio Brussel (VRT), featured a sketch in which its breakfast presenters smashed various items on air, including a statue of Our Lady and Jesus. I asked if they were concerned it would cause offence, and if they would do the same to a symbol of Islam or Judaism.

Hazel Chu was dispatched to Manchester to campaign, and Roderic O'Gorman is delirious with excitement over a sectarian triumph for the UK Greens. But if they want to associate with UK Green politics, there are obvious questions the Greens must answer: gript.ie/hazel-chus-man…

I’m a woman. I believe in fairness and reality. When I look at what’s happening now, it just doesn’t feel right. It feels like a slap in the face to women. To our mothers who fought, To our daughters we are supposed to protect, To our granddaughters who will live with the consequences. It feels like women are being asked to accept less. It feels like something fundamental about women is being thrown aside. It feels like women have gone back to having no say. #EUParliament #SadDay #Women #Woman #TransAgenda #Ireland

🇪🇺 EU Parliament just voted that "trans women are women" is now part of their official women's rights agenda. Women's rights for women. And also men who say they're women. Got it.

What damning indictment of our government and its politicians. 7000 Irish medical professionals registered In Australia, an increase of 86% in a few years. Our beat and brightest being pushed out while we pay agencies to import replacements from the 3rd world.

You just couldn’t make this shit up. Ireland has already handed €125 million to Ukraine just two weeks ago, and now the EU has agreed to shovel another €90 billion in so-called “financial assistance” for 2026–27, raised collectively and backed by the EU budget meaning taxpayers are on the hook. Based on Ireland’s share of the EU economy (around 3%), that puts our exposure at roughly €2.7 billion. Billions. Just waved away like smarties and worthless. And while politicians pat themselves on the back for their virtue signaling “solidarity,” a 70-year-old woman in Ireland can’t afford to heat her home. Taxpayers and business are crushed under yet another bad budget, the cost of living is spiralling out of control, reckless immigration is costing billions, hospital waiting lists are growing longer by the day, and children are literally in pain and even dying , while waiting for basic operations. This isn’t generosity, it’s madness. We are bleeding money we don’t have, while our own people are abandoned. And we’re doing it through the EU to Ukraine, a country that by its own Corruption Perceptions Index history, has been ranked among the most corrupt countries in Europe, with no real guarantee that this €90 billion will ever be paid back. Priorities couldn’t be clearer and they are completely wrong. We need to start looking after Ireland and the Irish and once that’s done we can consider charity abroad.

Have we got this correct? Ireland is giving €4.4bn to the EU pot in 2026 (€1bn more than 2025), but this is more than the EU will spend, and the EU will be giving the 'untapped' excess to Ukraine to buy missiles for its war with Russia? €90bn in total? *taps Constitution*

Opinion The lists goes on and on....thousands of payments👇🏻 Dublin City Council is trapped in an upward spiral of spending. All it is doing is subsidising private profiteers while perpetuating the homeless crisis because actual house-building is caught up in red tape and objections. This is totally unsustainable. Few realise the amount of leverage baked into the system: these properties are heavily mortgaged, using Govt contracts as collateral. The Govt. must know that if they pull the plug, there will be a cascade of defaults. But if they don't, it lets providers borrow and buy more to inflate the bubble further. This entire scheme is driving up rents, hotel prices and of property prices for everyone. But worst of all..... its driving up taxes to pay for it!!! How many beds does Banty own? I estimate the McEnaney family are paid at least €100million a year all in. That would mean somewhere north of 3000 beds. To put that into perspective IRES REIT, Ireland's largest landlord, has about 5000 beds and is valued at €1.3billion....the only difference Banty doesn't need planning permission! How are serious people standing by and watching this unfold? Link to docs: dublincity.ie/council/govern…

Dublin City Council has spent €455,000,000 in the first 9 months of 2025. 37% or €168,000,000 goes to private hotels/landlords for emergency accommodation. Thats almost 4 in every 10 euros. Here are the top 10 paid companies.....🧵

NEW: The Currency have just published a deep forensic analysis of Banty's Sate Funded asylum empire. It reveals a network of McEnaney family-controlled companies which received close to €340 million in State payments since 2020. Well done @Niall_Sargent (Link in comments)
